Rachel Fahey

Rachel Fahey earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from Wesley College and began working in the Entomology Department at the University of Maryland as an intern who assisted with stink bug and nematode research. She joined the UMD Bee Lab in 2012 as a lab technician and is now the project coordinator for the USDA APHIS National Honey Bee Pests and Disease Survey, a comprehensive examination of colony health across the United States. Rachel has a public facing role, serving as the liaison between the UMD Bee Lab, state apiarists and beekeepers.
