Harriet Harris

Image of UMD Bee Lab Graduate Student, Harriet Harris, smiling while holding a nursery flat of loaded with plants.
Driven by a passion for pollinators and environmental stewardship, Harriet is a graduate student in entomology at the University of Maryland. Their research on honey bee health explores how these vital insects respond to stressors in a rapidly changing world. Harriet believes in connecting science to action, and in empowering communities to protect the species we rely on.   In their free time, they enjoy playing with their menagerie of farm animals and roller skating.
